As far as I'm aware, none of the members here are world politicians. And even if some are, it's a discussion forum, so you can hardly use the excuse of realpolitik to say you're pressured into an opinion.
Besides, how does hard-headed realism justify hypocritical and automatic France-bashing in the real world anyway? |

Ever been to France or had run ins with the French? When I lived in a youth hostel I would say 80% of the fights in the bar involved some dick Frenchman beaking off at an English speaker and causing a fight.
I even got some great steriotypical incidents occur with a few of the young ones in Paris. Great country though and even better food. Too bad they don't deserve the place. This of course is a gross generalization as I've met lots of wonderful French people and it's a shame that the ones the create the image are such douchebags that they shadow the nice ones with their taint. EDIT// I read this statement after mine. According to Mr Clodong, the old adage that France is wonderful, it's just the French who are the problem, is shared across Europe.
