Its a big enough and well directed charge you can crack nearly anything, The Israelis are also noticing this with their Markova tanks. Personally I sort of think that it might be time to decimate (litterally 1 in 10) the Iraqi populace to get their attention and let them know that attacks on each other and on the occupation forces isn't acceptable behavior.
Crucifixitions, Stocks, and pressings may also help. If people won't listen to you and would rather be violent than peacable show them that violence against you is a bad idea because you can show them up at it. Last edited by Maxor : 04-23-2007 at 15:22 PM. Reason: incomplete thought. |

Luckily for the Iraqis, we are not the Soviets nor Imperial Japanese.
In a culture where one of the few central tribal rules is the ability/requirement to carry out revenge, killing 1 in 10 is probably not a productive idea, regardless of the logical outlook that if you let them know how harshly attacks will be punished that attacks will stop. If we're gonna go down that road, we might well kill them all.

It's funny because I was doing some reading about mine protection that was recently published in Military Technology (Magazine) and it mentions protection against 12kg IEDs. Israeli Merkavas were being blown up by 100kg IEDs!
