I think it would be a mistake to remove the DU unless they have something that is actually stronger.

I also do not think it wise at ALL to remove the turbine of the Abrams. I've operated against them as both BLUFOR and OPFOR, and their nickname of 'whispering death' is EXTREMELY appropriate.

The new FCS will be able to ride 10 minutes on Batteries at like 30mph or something to that effect. When you get close you could make it go almost dead silent.

I am pretty sure will add this feature to an M1A3 if they gave it Hybrid Electric Drive.
