Review: BMP - 3
The BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle entered service with the Soviet Army in 1987 and at the end of the same year a pre-production batch of 12 vehicles was completed. This vehicle immediately created a stir in Western armored circles as it was obvious that the design owed nothing to previous BMP-1 and BMP-2 IFVs. Currently the BMP-3 is in service with Cyprus, Kuwait, Russia, Ukraine and United Arab Emirates.
