Review: EE - 11 Urutu
Armored personnel carrier
Development documentation on the EE-11 "Urutu" Armored Personnel Carrier was finished in January 1970 and in July of the same year, there was already built it's first test example. Vehicles tests and pre-production improvement lasted till the 1974, when it's serial production began. As well as the EE-9 Cascavel Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle, initially produced for the Brazilian armed forces, soon the EE-11 "Urutu" Armored Personnel Carrier was exported to Bolivia and Chile (300 vehicles), Columbia (100 vehicles), Cyprus, Ecuador, Gabon, Iraq (500 vehicles), Libya (200 vehicles), and also to Morocco, Uruguay and Venezuela.
