A bunch of lazy butts who takes up slots of people who got real jobs to do. Don't mind if they come on their own but when they take up a slot of a CSM, it makes my life miserable.

Don't know about the Black Ops Sqn but the Green Ops Sqn has been in continous operations since Yugoslavia. In conventional operations, they were recee, lasering targets. In Yugoslavia, they were the recee-by-force where they have been known to engage targets of oppertunity. It has been suggested that they were involved in hand-to-hand fighting in Afghanistan.

I guess the US Navy SEALs don't expect you to be able to do 80 pushups for nothing.
And I wouldn't know about JTF-2, but I believe the ADF's SASR has a record that kinda speaks for itself, including the legendary 500:1 killrate in Vietnam. I guess it depends on the kind of operations you want your SF to be geared for, COIN and small groups operations like those we conducted in Vietnam were something of a specialty for the ADF.

JTF-2, there was never a JTF-1. The Black Operations Squadron originally came from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Hostage Rescue Team. The Green Ops Sqn came from the Army's Pathfinders.

hmmm... yea, I got confused because the title of this tread says JFT... but neverthless, there are many Special Forces in the world and it is really hard to tell which is the best... bust the SAS surely have one hell of a reputation... but I guess, they are all good at what they do.... how old is JTF by the way???
