Pakistan-born British national arrested for assisting Hamas

Strange why a Pakistani origin individual living in Britain gets worked up enough about Jews to play footsie with Hamas in Israel.

The world is getting smaller, but I do not think this is what the civilised had intended as a consequence of that fact.

Not the first Pakistani born / origin Britons who have targeted Israel either.

That “honour” goes to Asif Mohammed Hanif with a supporting role for Omar Khan Sharif, who eventually chickened out, for suicide bombing Mikes Place in Tel Aviv.

Pakistan-born British national arrested for assisting Hamas

Jerusalem, May 30. (PTI): A Pakistan-born British national, Iyaz Ali, was arrested by the Israel Security Agency (ISA) and the police earlier this month, for assisting Hamas in transferring funds and helping its various institutions, the Prime Minister's office said.

Ali, arrested on the 10th of this month, has admitted to being a member of the UK-based Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), which is suspected of supporting Hamas, it said in a statement.

He has confessed of working for IRWF's Gaza branch as a project director since December 2005 and his involvement in transferring funds and assistance to various Hamas institutions, including the Al Wafa and Al Tzalah associations, outlawed in Israel.

Ali had earlier worked in Jordan and cooperated with local Hamas operatives.
Incriminating files were found on his computer, including documents that attested to the organisation's ties with illegal Hamas funds abroad in the UK and Saudi Arabia, and in Nablus.

Photographs of swastikas superimposed on Israel Defence Forces (IDF) symbols, senior Nazi German officials, Osama Bin Laden, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, as well as of Hamas military activities were also found during investigations, the statement said.

Ali was released yesterday with restrictions on his movements and will be deported from Israel in the coming days with a bar on his return, the release said citing an agreement.

Many young Brit Pakistanis are extremely radicalised - much more so than any other ethnic group in the UK imho.

Some integrate very well, but the constant links back to Pakistan for marriage, education etc seem to drag many of them down that path. Equally, lots of them dont aspire to the same life as their parents or come from socially deprived areas, where there used to be factory work. Add some radical preaching and you have a nice pool of jihadis.

There very often seems to be a real racist element in them (please note, I am saying some not all) which is directed at Somali and Bangladeshi co-religionists as much as it is at white people, Indians or black people. (I am not arguing that they have a monopoly on racism either).

Platinum786 is an example of a person becoming radicalised due to his own country's failings. He used to be a much more rational and open-minded person. Now he's sentencing his family and friends to misery.
