War Angel

As most of you may know, Israel wishes to evacuate some religiously fanatic settlers from sensitive areas, in which they unlawfully dwell in, abusing the local Arab populace, fighting the Israeli soldiers there, and generally making things very difficult.

There was a dis-engagement from Gaza about 6 months ago, that went almost unbeliavably smooth (relatively, of-course). Now, those settlers in the market in Hevron say they won't give the authorities such a pleasant time. Army and police official in return have promised there will be no considerateion and much determination (after the slogan for the evacuating forces in Gaza was 'with sensitivity and determination').

So, the two sides clashed.

What do you think of this? Who do you side with - Israel, or the Settlers? What do you think and know of the motives of the two sides? Thoughts and comments go here.

Its good that Israel is taking some action against fanatic settlers, they really scare me sometimes when i watch them on tv. However it is important for Israel to not go all the way alone and dictate a peace deal on its own terms. I do agree that Israel should never talk to HAMAS until they recognize the right of Israel to exist but if there is to be peace in this region both sides will need to have a fair deal and Palestine will need to be a proper state (not divided geographically) with enough land to sustain agricultural living and access to water, ie a viable state.
I believe that a restoration of ppre 67 borders minus Palestinian control of Jerusalem is a fair deal. The Arabs attacked and lost, too bad for them, they get everything back but not Jerusalem. They can be given guaranteed access to the city though....


In an ideal world both Jews and Muslims would keep religion at home and live under one flag for the betterment of mankind but who am i kidding.

If israeli govt & majority of the ppl think that way, no problem. But if not that case, then losers cant dictate. Whatever israel thinks is right thing for their future should be the way forward. They won those fair & square & they have the right to keep it or return them back to loosers.

While i do blame the arabs for being too adventurous and then loosing a fair fight, one cannot completely punish the present generation of Palestinians who have nothing to do with the past generation and besides the Palestinians were but puppets for the Syrians, Egyptians etc who used them.

One cannot expect a people to live in refugee camps or be enclosed forever, ie have no meaningful economic opportunities to grow. I feel sorry for the Palestinians, i dont completely blame them for acting like savages sometimes on tv because that is afterall what a lack of education does to you, we cant let them live like this forever. They are afterall human beings too while the fanatics appear to have won the day in that region.

The Israeli government is declaring war on its citizens instead of removing the Arab cancer out of the JEWISH LAND OF ISRAEL. If I was in Hevron I would fight to keep my home and no police goons or soldiers would get me out. The land belongs to the Jewish people and they need to fight against the communist dictator Olmert to show him that he has NO right to remove Jews from the ir G-d given land.

The Arabs have no business in Israel and they should go back to whatever Arab country they came from originally. This refugee camp lie the Arabs are pushing is a myth, they live better in Israel than in most Arab countries and unfortunately they have more freedom there. The Arabs have lived autonomously in Israel for the last 15 years but have done nothing to improve their lifestlye and have amassed weapons while living in filthy hovels. The billions of dollars they have been given to improve their lives has been stolen by the pervert Arafat and he rest has gone into terrorist weapons. THe Arabs have shown no desire to live in peace and must be removed from the Jewish Land of Israel.

yes i agree but olmert is no communist and as i disagree with his views he still had good intentions i personally believe his struggle for peace will not fall through or ever be acted upon i believe that he will not give land up but i think his approaches to the israerli economy is very good
its the arabs homeland to just it is in the jew's control and ihope it stasy's that way all arabs that are wicked and plasn to do wrong to israel should be sent out but i think there are good arabsthat respect the stat of israel that should be aloud to stay there as israeli citizen's this in itself will be a long step on the road to peace.
