![]() Of course they are, anything to keep the region in a state of un-rest until (haha i like this) "The Great Satan" and its citizens are fed up with this whole situation and a far left president gets elected and falls for it all and pulls out pre-maturely. |

This is just a blunt, basic opinion. IMO If an organization right across from my border was conducting offensive activities across my border and then back into a safe haven....Hmmmm i would follow them back to their security blanket and wipe them out.
Wouldnt it be ironic if Turkey used the Longbows we gave them to take out a "terrorist" organization in U.S. patrolled territory in the middle east....think about it |

I'm sure it's very much in play. That was made clear last December and, again, in early February. The U.S. Army is not going to stand in the way of Turkish combat operations against PKK bases inside Iraq- within reason. The issue is, of course, tempestuous, but the Iraqi Gov't, the Kurdish Regional Government and the U.S. government are all on board with this consideration on a limited basis. "limited" meaning both geographically and duration. To date, both Turkish ops were confined to discrete, largely uninhabited areas of known PKK sanctuary and limited to about 10 days-two weeks in length. My guess is that there are well-defined protocols established at this point, largely as a function of the liaison cells established last winter. Ucar would know more clearly but I'd bet these incursions are nearly "scheduled" to some extent at this point.

The entire region has been in flames since before the was ever a "new world" and when we show up its only putting gasoline onto the fire.
Is there any real answer to this ? of stability in the middle east or does it already have its final outcome pre-planned just with no ones knowledge. This might be one of those things that no matter how much one interfers, mediates, bombs, trys to change with all their might, it just might have to runs its course and may never end until its the end itself |

Let's not get apocalyptic. Still, if you're correct that it's all pre-ordained, we lose nothing by trying to reverse the inevitable catastrophe. We might surprise ourselves with success and shall at least be occupied with temporal matters while the immutable will of destiny slowly asserts it's pre-determined purpose.
