For the love of God, no! Not them again!
Although I think its just a form of way to create hysteria, if people talk about an unstable government enough, people will start believing it.
: Claiming that the Congress-led coalition at the Centre was becoming "increasingly unstable", former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Tuesday asked BJP MPs to be prepared for mid-term polls and remain in constant touch with their constituents.
"Whenever the UPA Government faces instability, they start talking of early polls which further complicates the situation and they stop talking about it. Whether mid-term elections are held or not, we should remain prepared and remain in constant touch with the people", BJP Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha V K Malhotra quoted Vajpayee as saying.
The former Prime Minister was addressing the last Parliamentary party meeting of the monsoon session here this morning. Expressing happiness over the Opposition's performance in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, he said they should take the message to the people at large.
Addressing the party MPs, leader of Oppositiion and BJP President L K Advani termed as "wrong, mischievous and baseless" UPA Chairperson Soniia Gandhi's charge that the Opposition changed its stand on the Women's Reservation Bill.
Advani said Gandhi was trying to blame the BJP for the UPA's "failure" to evolve a consensus on the Women's Reservation Bill with some of its allies even threatening to "physically prevent it".
The leader of Opposition also expressed satisfaction over the "constructive role" of the Opposition in the monsoon session and said they were successful in driving home their point.
With the proposal to enhance the number of seats appearing to be "impractical", the party felt that the Election Commission's suggestion that political parties distribute 33 per cent of tickets to women seemed more practical, Malhotra said.
The parliamentary party also decided to oppose any attempt on the government's part to bring the IMDT through backdoor, hike petroleum prices and introduce FDI in retail trade.
Maintaining that the Opposition had extended full cooperation to the government in the current session, Malhotra said it helped the government pass seven Bills iin one day.

Vajpayee should run for President. Wonder sometimes what is he doing in the party of hawks??
The BJP is not a party full of hawks. This is a dumb misconception based on the ignorance of many who think they know or understand Indian politics by reading 2 articles.
The BJP has evolved into a party that is rather liberal but there are some old guards there who are quite extreme in their views, THIS IS WHY THERE IS A SORT OF CIVIL WAR INTHE BJP RIGHT NOW WHERE THE LIBERALS ARE TRYING TO SILENCE THE HAWKS. The Hawks are few in numbers BUT VERY POWERFUL. Also the hawks are very active in mobiizing the masses, take the RSS as an example. The BJP will not win an election and stay in power in India until it reforms and becomes a party rather than a Hindu ideology, noone voted for them after Gujurat and for good reason. The BJP will be better for India in terms of economic reforms but i donot wish to see people like Advani in power. there is a very capable new generation 40 year olds, in the BJP but they are not being given the chance to move up. The BJP also lacks any leader of note, can anyone give me the name of a charismatic leader in the party minus Advani or Modi?
Until the BJP figures itself out, we will have to live with a pathetic commie led Congres party.
For that, Sameer, BJP should break off from the Sangh.
I admire BJP simply for Vajpayee. He is probably the only living politician in India who is loved & respected by the masses. But, he is nearing 80 & I don't feel he would run for the prime ministership next time. And with Narendra Modi showing his intentions of becoming PM, I sincerely hope for BJP not to come to power.
Consider this though, Modi may be a fundamentalist but when it comes to economic policy and state bureaucracy efficiency, he has made GUjurat rank first in India. This year Guju state GDP growth stood at over 10% and he has averaged an 8+% growth rate over the years.
Then I have to give him credit where it is due but, the social infrastructure of Gujrat has been sevearly affected because of him. Gujjus had always been friendly, gentle & moderate people till Modi took the reins. Current state of social fabric in Gujrat is pathetic with people clearly divided on religious lines. It would take atleast a couple of decades to repair it.Originally Posted by Sameer
Maybe he is but still, he is our murderer. If anything, the justice court & people of India will decide his fate.Originally Posted by Asim Aquil
Now now, I can say the same for the Pakistani State & ISI (State Terrorism) in Kashmir. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law and as for Modi he has not been convicted by any court of law.Originally Posted by Asim Aquil
Modi did not directly kill anyone nor is there evidence that he ordered the killing of anyone.
However there is strong evidence to suggest that he knew about riots taking place and he did ziltch to send the police to do anything about stopping these riots. There is NO evidence to suggest that Modi told the police not to interfere, he actually sat by as if nothing happened. That in itself makes him liable in my opinion but he is not a murderer, hje is just some fundu idiot who failed to protect hi citizens thus violating the Indian constitution and being liable for jail time.
Pakistanis smoke too much of that srong stuff, you guys should really start reading and stop blabbing nonsense.
I hope Vajpayee becomes the pm again. He is probably one of the greatest pms in India history. Under him, the Indian economy was booming and he wasnt afraid to tell countries that tried to start crap with India or tried to take advantage of India to go to hell.
He is too old.
I pray for a younger PM.
