We aren't. Sock-puppets are to be relished. There are soooo few truly mal-formed minds left in this increasingly-educated world. When discovered they're to be savored...with fava beans and a nice chianti.

Until such time you owe us a bio. Now be a nice lad and run along as you've your homework for the moment.

Contumacious, want to see how Arabs treat each other?

Here's some Arab Apartheid for you.

In 1959, the Arab League passed Resolution 1457, which states as follows: “The Arab countries will not grant citizenship to applicants of Palestinian origin in order to prevent their assimilation into the host countries.

Palestinians in Egypt. Refugees from mandatory Palestine also lived in Egypt itself. Many of them did not even feel that they were Palestinians and preferred to assimilate. The Egyptians prevented them from doing so. Except for a short period of time that was considered the “golden age,” during some of the years of Nasser’s rule, which did not include the Gaza refugees, even those who were in Egypt suffered from restrictions on purchasing land, engaging in certain professions and education (for example, there was a prohibition on the establishment of a Palestinian school). The Egyptian citizenship law allowed citizenship for someone whose father is Egyptian, and later the law was expanded to anyone whose mother is Egyptian. In actuality, however, restrictions were imposed on anyone considered a Palestinian. Even the decision of an Egyptian court canceling the restrictions did not help. The new régime in Egypt has recently promised change. The change, even if it happens, cannot erase many years of discrimination, which was tantamount to collective punishment. Thus, for example, in 1978, Egyptian Minister of Culture Yusouf al-Shib'ai was murdered in Cyprus by a member of Abu Nidal’s group. In reprisal, the Palestinians suffered a new wave of attacks and the Egyptian parliament renewed legislation restricting the Palestinians in education and employment services.

Jordan. Jordan did not do a thing to dismantle the refugee camps. While Israel was absorbing hundreds of thousands of refugees from Europe and the Arab countries in similar camps (transit camps), and undergoing a punishing process of rehabilitation, building new settlements and dismantling the camps, Jordan did exactly the opposite and prevented any process of rehabilitation. During those same two decades (50's and 60's), not one institution of higher learning was established in the West Bank. The flowering of higher education began in the 1970s, after the Israelis took control.

Syria. Between 70,000 and 90,000 refugees arrived in Syria, the decisive majority of them from Safed, Haifa, Tiberias and Acre. Thus, in 1954, they were granted partial rights, which did not include political rights.Until 1968, they were prohibited from holding property. Syrian law enables any Arab citizens to obtain Syrian citizenship, provided that his permanent residence is in Syria and he has a proven capacity for economic subsistence. However, the Palestinians are the only ones outside the applicability of the law. Even if they are permanent residents and possess means, the law prevents them from obtaining citizenship.

Lebanon. To this day, two thirds of the Palestinians in Lebanon still live in camps, which are “enclaves outside the control of the state".

Tell you what...let's go ahead and close Israel...give it back to the Arabs. And let's move all those displaced Jewish folks to somewhere nice, but sort of useless...hmmm...what about Puerto Rico?
Well, what can I say. We Puerto Ricans have no say . LBJ sent the Cubans down here during the 60's.

I just hope that if they send the Jews down here they only send those that look like Marla Sokoloff., nice looking black chick, eh?

That's right, a small group, a fraction of the Israeli forces attacked British forces. How do you conclude that to mean that Palestinian's relatives were killed?

Contumacious, I don't get it why you say all Israelis should be black, or not look like Europeans? That would go to all Arabs as well?

I am thinking several Egyptian stars and following your logic would come to a conclusion today's Egyptians should leave Egypt

The only terror involved in her attack was on the part of the Israeli government That has in various forms repressed non-Jewish locals in order to make room for non-local Jews. Since the beginning of the Second Infantada the repression has reached levels that can only be compared to aparthied, The Nuremburg Laws or Indian reservations in the American West in the late 19th cn.

Even Jim Crow laws in the American South were never as harsh.

Official Israeli policy denies the Palestinians citizenship, housing, food, water and medical care. Pari is wrong when he claims Arabs living inside the borders claimed by Israel have equal rights. Even israeli arabs do not have equal access as jews. However the bulk of Arabs inside the borders claimed by Israel are not Israeli Arabs but Palestinians who enjoy no rights.

That a 16yo girl would be willing to blow herself up, that men would be willing to let her blow her self up is a sing of desperation just as much as the creation of the 12th SS Panzer was. Terrorism as it used to be defined was the use of force or the threat of the use of force on civilians and non-military government functions to change policy. The terrorist could be regular- terror bombing of Rotterdam or illregualr- Al Queda. Attacks or threats of attacks on civilians in order to cause causulties for revenge reasons while technically illegal under the LOAC is not terrorism under the old definition. The British bombed Germany in revenge for Coventry, we threatened to knock Pakistan into the stone age if they did not allow us access....

However, Israel has been very adroit in changing public perception about what terrorism is and isn't. To the public nowadays a 500lb bomb dropped in a crowded market to take out a militant leader is a surgical strike no matter how many die, but a girl with a bomb vest in roughly the same location for roughly the same reasons- revenge- is considered terrorism.

The Palestinians have been reduced to "terrorist" by policy. No armed act undertaken by the Palestinians is not terrorism according to Israel. Israel see no difference between blowing up a Merkava Tank and a bus if its the Palestinians doing it. Israel also seems to feel (not officialy expressed in words just actions) that any attack or reprisal by Jews is at worst a misdeamnor and at best "justified".

Israel routinely refuses to prosecute settlers who murder Palestinians, destroy property and at times have tried to commit mass murder via what we would call a WMD attack if it was anyone else (well poisoning).

Not surprising for those who study history. Israel is all up in arms that the Palestinians elected Hamas. Funny, they elected Begin prime minister... For those who don't know Menachem Begin was the leader of the Irgun which is a terror group by any definition. He was also allied to the Stern Gang who killed UN politicians and was the head of the Irgun when the Irgun and Stern Gang began a policy of genocide against Palestinian villages.

Set against the backdrop of her life and times as they were, not as the media sound byted it Ayat al-Akhras is in the company of people like the French Marquis (FFI) not terrorist like Bin Laden.

    That beign said, Contumacious

Your an antisemite and go find a different cause to advance you do the Palestinians and liberty no justice with your association. Genetic tests prove the majority of Jews have direct genetic links to the land, a land that has never been free of Jews from the creation of the Jewish idenitiy thousands of years ago. Israel as she exists today minus the West bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem is a legitmate state and a long established homeland for one of the oldest ethnic groups on the planet. Hopefully the growing movement in Israel to renounce what Israel has become in order to save what she means will create the conditions for peace.

The capital of Israel for Israelis and where all government directives come out of is Jerusalem. The Knesset, the President and Prime Minister all sit in Jerusalem. All branches of the Israeli government and the Supreme Court sit in Jerusalem. I could say that NYC is the capital of the USA, but that doesn't really make it the capital, does it?

If this dude is going to complain about policies, the least he could do is get the location of the policies' origins right.
