Reads about par for the course coming from Queishi

This para here in Qureishi's article seems to hint (perhaps unwittingly) at something more tho, is he implying that had those dams gone ahead then the present flood damage would not be as bad

He is referring to 1971..I would add Kargil in 99.Again Pakistan was left to swing in the wind by the "deeper than oceans higher than mountains" friend.

In risk of getting Off-Topic, Pakistan has never asked Beijing for help during the entire Kargil crisis. Beijing stayed Neutral.

So what Beijing did "nothing" . Is it good for the world where a small border clash that might drag two nuke equipped powers into a greater war in the name of "friendship". Sure, if the internet fan boys from India wants to take cheap-shot because of it, be my guess.

In this context (and if you can really try to understand what is meant), no one is criticizing China. They did what they felt was right under the circumstances.

It is some Pakistanis with their unrealistic expectations that China will go to war for them at the drop of a hat, even at the risk of destroying all they have achieved with so much hard work over decades.

    The history suggests otherwise.

so, how is 1971 and Kargil related to this thread. Am I the only not seeing the pattern here? Haven't you done enough Pakistan trashing in this thread while millions are suffering from the flood?
