That's all good. Here I have a question for Hindus, is the Nepali branch of Hinduism different from the Indian branch? As I recently read about the sacrifice of hundreds of thousand animals in Nepal. And are bulls treated as well as cows in India, or only the milk generating cows are worshiped?

Link to the Nepali Hindu sacrifice:

You completely missed the point, Mumbai didn't make the news in the same manner as 9-11 because it was not in America and happened to people who roughly speaking don't look like Americans. Ther eis no deep seated cultural connection, no closeness nothing to make India stand out and a lot of stuff to make India look weird.

This means for the average American India is simply a non-issue. While this is different for people who are internationally aware and politically engaged, this is a definite minority. As long as America is the world economic axis, it won't change, since everyone has to come to us, we don;t have to go to them.

*Just imagine if we could ship our over population of deer here in the US over there. What would you consider venison?

Yeah, but mutton is still better.

I love a good gourmet burger as much as a next guy, but what can you really beat a good mutton biryani?

    Hey Ne0,

What everyone here is trying to tell you that there is no inherent deep seated love between India (Indians) and America (Americans) just because India is a democracy. These does not mean that there is any enmity, in fact there is some amount of goodwill based on trade/ commercial terms, but no connection like that between say, Britain and US. This goodwill will probably increase the more we continue as a democracy while countries around us crash and burn. But what would really help is an increase in trade ties.
Why is this difficult to understand?

And by the way, don't take into account what diplomats and politicians talk about shared values and stuff, they are crapping out of their mouths

    Dreadnought,

I believe there is a deep seated problem which was caused by the Hindu following of vegetarianism. In effect, people chose to forego cheap sources of protein in favour of social standing.
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?" ~ Epicurus
