The plan is worth looking at; it seems to be a hybrid HMO approach with the difference being gov't subsidies to cover part of the premium cost for lower income folk.
I gather everyone in Holland is now required to carry med insurance.
I wonder if that has the advantage of bringing in healthy young people who normally don't have insurance. Their paying a premium however small, and staying healthy for 10-20 years might lower the cost for older people. Spread the risk using the not at risk, so to speak.
I get a little antsy at anything that is mandatory.
Something needs to be done here, but what, I don't know.
Universal access to medical services is one of the most complex issues in the US.
