I had heard about this, but hadn't seen the picture. Thanks...

according to NPR rprt I heard, it was an Iraqi platoon attached to USMC Company that found it. Probable promotion to the CO of that company, right?

The find has been confirmed, but testing is still pending, to the best of my knowledge.

    Most extraordinary.

For the type of guys they are who can behead, maim and kill without compassion, it is surprising that they did not use it when under seige in Fellujah.

I would not put it past them.

Nor would I. Seriously though, if this is what the US went to war to protect themselves then yu'll forgive me for saying that it was somewhat misguided to think that sort of thing was a threat. I wouldn't be surprised if the militants had it smuggled from another country, and were about to use it on the marines but ran out of time.

Check out the labels, complete with (if I'm correct) German and Russian writing.
Care to guess where those Syrian nationals a while back got their Sarin from?
If its the same I thing we have a smoking gun. Lets see how this plays out, or stays quiet more likely.

    Smiling,

It could be Iraqi and it could be those of foreign terrorists (AQ).

What is more dangerous is that it is warning that these terrorists (whatever their nationality maybe) have now got their hands on this type of stuff.

The world must be warned and all countries should be tweaking their anti terrorist organisation towards watching out for these stuff and getting ready with antidotes.

    Dangerous.

No wonder why Russia and Germany didn't want to send troops...they knew what was over there awaiting them.

I bet it was obtained from Iraqi government stockpiles. Premature to guess whether they were given to insurgents/terrorists by Saddam, or seized after the fall of his regime. There was a terrorist cell busted in the UK, and one in Italy, I believe, that planned to use sarin in attacks. It would be interesting to see if there's any link between this sarin and the sarin found in those raids. Apparently there is some type of documentation with this batch. But then again, sarin is pretty much readily available worldwide.
