Let’s unite against our enemies this Eid, says Qazi

    Staff Report

LAHORE: Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) President Qazi Hussain Ahmad has appealed to Muslims to pledge this Eid to overcome their differences and unite against their enemies.

In a special Eid message, Qazi said that this Eid had once again witnessed merciless bloodshed of Muslims by the US and its allies, while Muslim governments were acting as silent spectators instead of helping their peoples.

He said that while hundreds of innocent Muslims were being killed in Afghanistan, Iraq an elsewhere in the world, Muslim leaders like President Musharraf were busy carrying out US plans. He said that President Musharraf had formed a corrupt system in the country by which groups of plunderers were widening the gap between the rich and poor and increasing poverty and unemployment, which was evident from the sharp increase in suicides.

The MMA leader urged the nation to adopt a courageous approach to change the corrupt system to solve the poor people’s problems. He appealed to the nation to particularly consider the earthquake victims on the occasion and to share the joys of Eid with them by donating wholeheartedly.

    What audacity and gall!

Fine if the Qazi rants about the US and allies since they are giving the Islamic terrorists a hiding of their lives.

But, to state that Islamic govts supporting the US are also enemies is taking things too far.

    Musharraf is helping the US.

So, Musharraf is the enemy of Islam?

What cheek to say so against the Supreme Leader of the country.

And Musharraf takes it lying down!

The writ of the government runs?

First Qazi should unite his own fellow Pakistani Sunnis .

The prospect of Eid ul Fitr, in this case its precursor, the moon sighting, did not stop these two Sunni Clerics directing havoc against each others followers :

14 die as rivals clash in Khyber Agency

Followers of Mufti Shakir, Pir Saifullah battle over provincial govt’s announcement; Eid celebrated in parts of NWFP, Balochistan

KHYBER AGENCY: As many as 14 people were killed and a number of others sustained injuries in an armed clash between two rival groups on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr in Khyber Agency.

According to Radio Tehran, the clash erupted between the Ansar and the Lashkar-e-Islam groups led by Mufti Munir Shakir and Pir Saifullah, respectively, over the provincial government’s announcement regarding sighting of the Shawal moon.

Both sides used modern weapons against each other. Fourteen people have been killed and a number of others sustained injuries in the clash, the report said.

The two groups had frequently clashed with each other over the past year, leading to the killing of scores of people.

The two religious leaders differ over important Sharia issues and have taken up arms against each other. Both the influential groups were recently evicted from Bara Tehsil of Khyber Agency by the political administration. —Online

    Good heavens.

During Ramazan, none can resort to violence or thing evil,

Both the Maulavis (if that is what they are) have done acts of blasphemy and hence are unfit to be Moslems.

    Typical Islamic methods of duplicity.

Say something and do something else!

The Ramazan gambit is merely one in a bagful of “enlightened moderate” supposedly religiously under pinned rhetoric reserved for preventing Non Pakistani’s from doing the right things:

Musharraf Asks U.S. to Stop Bombing During Ramadan

None of this bagful of “enlightened moderate” supposedly religiously underpinned rhetoric applies to what Pakistani’s do to each other .

Take the recent attack on the Madrassah in the Bajaur area by the Pakistan Army.

The attack was timed for the dawn Fajr prayers.

Good tactic though. Had all the alleged terrorists nicely bunched up.

The Gods however forbid that the same tactic is used by a non Pakistani.
