I only ask these three things.

    1) Dont bring terrorism to my country.
    2) Dont support terrorism from my country.
    3) Respect my country and our flag (Which is now your country and your flag as well)

Outside of that welcome to America and enjoy your stay wether visiting or staying for good.

Well India, unlike some 'Islamic republics', is not a haven of terror.

    2) Dont support terrorism from my country.
You mean to say 'dont support terrorism if you live here', right?

OEE in this era freedom of information goes hand in hand with democracy. It would be very difficulte for two democracies to declare war on the other unless they seriously hate each other.

From India's POV, Commerce with Americans is a mutually beneficial option. Its not a zero sum game. But Military is a different issue. Until US completly disentangles itself with Pakistan, Saudi etc, India cannot completely trust them on Security issues and its a one way street, with only US weapons manufacturers gaining all the time(F16's for both India and Pakistan!).
