Parihaka sorry about that but i have to state:

this is not the first, he is always agressive and jarring always, playing with our nerves but i find this is childish....so....from this moment as long as Kansas Bear dont apologize me i will ignore him and his demagogic/annoying comments.

So I should state that the crusades were merely an attempt made by France to "colonize" the Holy Land? Rather racist isn't it.

"Arabic" indicates that only Arabs were invading Europe. Would "big k" care for factual evidence that shows the Ottoman Empire expanded Islam at the point of a sword?

    His quote:

His attempt to show the ottoman empire as "benevolent".

"On the other hand Abdul Hamid so perverted a further Moslem principle as to offer his enemies, at the point of the bayonet, the choice between death and forcible conversion to Islam--a practice previously renounced, under British pressure, by Sultan Abdul Mejid." -- "Ottoman Centuries" by Lord Kinross, p559.

Apologize for what? Posting factual evidence? That's amusing.

Go back to your insults and childish remarks, that's all you've got.

hahaha who is amusing by typing the initials with "miniscules"?

accusing some one with "racism" is a big insult, we have a proverb about insults
"kötü söz sahibine yakışır" means "bad words are worthy to his owner"

i'll never place my dignity on the same footing with you.

good days in your world of demagogic hatred and prejudice.

"1. Care to explain just HOW Islam made it's way to the Iberian peninsula?

    2. What armies were at the battle of Tours(Oct 10, 732)?

    3. Why was the Leonine Wall built?

    4. 724 CE, Under the command of Ambissa, Emir of Andalusia, Muslim forces raid southern France and capture the cities of Carcassone and Nimes. Primary targets in these and other raids are churches and monasteries where the Muslims take away holy objects and enslave or kill all the clerics.

    5. 730 CE, Muslim forces occupy the French cities of Narbonne, Nimes and Avignon.

    6. In 792 CE, Hisham I, emir of Cordova, calls for a Jihad against what people??

    7. 846 CE, Muslims sacked Rome and damaged the churches of St. Peter and St. Paul.

    8. 851 CE, Abd al-Rahman II has eleven young Christians executed in the city of Cordova.

    9. 859 CE, Muslim invaders capture the Sicilian city of Castrogiovanni (Enna), slaughtering several thousand inhabitants.

    10. 1009 CE, Caliph Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah, orders the Holy Sepulcher and all Christian buildings in Jerusalem be destroyed."

These are all ARABIC CONQUESTS, nothing Turkish in it!!!!!!!!!

i'll re-give this exemple of Turkish mentality about Christians in the conquered lands:

for the ones who think that the Islam was spread with sword. Please Read this:

    Sultan Mehmet(2nd) The Conqueror's firman
"Mehmed II's Firman on the Freedom of the Bosnian Franciscans

"I, the Sultan Khan the Conqueror,

hereby declare the whole world that,

The Bosnian Franciscans granted with this sultanate firman are under my protection. And I command that:

No one shall disturb or give harm to these people and their churches! They shall live in peace in my state. These people who have become emigrants, shall have security and liberty. They may return to their monasteries which are located in the borders of my state.

No one from my empire notable, viziers, clerks or my maids will breake their honours and will not give any harm to them!

No one shall insult, put in danger or attack these lives, properties, and churches of these people!

Also, what and those these people have brought from their own countries have the same rights...

By declaring this firman, I swear on my sword by the holy name of Allah who has created the ground and sky, Allah's prophet Mohammed, and 124.000 former prophets that; no one from my citizens will react or behave the opposite of this firman!"

This oath firman, which has provided independence and tolerance to the ones who are from another religion, belief, and race was declared by Mehmed II the Conqueror and granted to Angjeo Zvizdovic of the Franciscan Catholic Monastery in Fojnica, Bosnia Herzegovina after the conquest of Bosnia Herzegovina on May 28th of 1463. The firman has been recently raised and published by the Ministry of Culture of Turkey for the 700th anniversary of the foundation of the Ottoman State. The edict was issued by the Sultan Mehmed II the Conqueror to protect the basic rights of the Bosnian Christians when he conquered that territory in 1463. The original edict is still kept in the Franciscan Catholic Monastery in Fojnica."

This document, is the oldest human rights declaration, since the Cyrus cylinder. In 1971, the United Nations published a translation of the document in all the official U.N. languages. A replica of the Cyrus Cylinder has reportedly been on display at United Nations headquarters in New York City as a tribute to Cyrus' display of respect and tolerance. Mehmed II's oath was entered into force in the Ottoman Empire at May 28, 1463 which is 326 years before French Revolution at 1789, 485 years before UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 1948, 490 years before the European Convention on Human Rights at 1953, 513 years before the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, 513 years before the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and 538 years before the Council of Europe’s Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities at 1995.

Please stop ignoring the difference between Islam and Terror and also Arabs and Turks.

On the other hand we have rescued Jewish people from Christian Inquisition of Spain during the reign of Ottoman Sultan Suleiman The Magnificent.

Christian Inquisition was "FORCING" Jews to convert in Christianism!!!! In Istanbul theres still historic houses with the ship marks on their entrance which signifies the ships of Ottoman "Kaptan-i Derya" (Commander of Ottoman NAVY) Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha.

On behalf of Humanity and Rights of Minoritiys, we were leading for centuries.

I repeat, Forcing someone to convert him in Islam has nothing to do with Islam and also a great sin!.

The wikipedia page that contains that "oath", has NO relevant references to Mehmed II's Firman. Neither Norwich nor Kinross mention anything about it.

Yes, please do. Apparently your "dignity" doesn't include the truth. Posting factual evidence backed by documentation isn't hatred, it's called the TRUTH. Something you apparently can't comprehend.

    So much for "nothing Turkish"...

"Based on the practice of forcible conversion, the force was drafted from each conquered district on the principle that the privilege of exemption from military service should be denied to Christian boys of a certain age.

In place of Christianity, they were brought up on the broad unorthodox Moslem precepts......" -- "Ottoman Centuries", by Lord Kinross, p48-49
"At first the Ottomans seem to have cared little for the niceties of the Sharia--their use of the devshirme and forced conversion of dhimmis is but one example of this nonchalance." -- "The Monotheists: Volume II", by F.E. Peters, p122.

The Turko Mongols and Turks were generally accepted to be the most brutal and fanatical of all Muslim groups in medieval India. They changed over time.

    1. Facts matter even if we don't like them.
    2. It becomes quite evident when one looks at the Islamic world.

If you HAVE something factual to add to the debate then please do: otherwise butt out.
