It may well could have been proven, but like I said before, my neighbor forgave everyone involved. He just wanted to go on with his life and teach somewhere else. I would not have been so forgiving and would have extracted a pound of flesh out of the doctor's posterior. The worse part about the whole thing is that many in the parish thought the doctor did the right thing. The control religious leaders have over the "flock" can be staggering.
