I've been thinking and I've come up with a rather farfetched theory. So here goes:
Russia and China are conducting military exercises so that at some time in the future they could launch simultaneous attacks on the former USSR nations and Taiwan. Maybe Russia and China are try to stretch US and NATO forces so that they wouldn't be able to mount a "full-power" offensive against occupied territories.
There are talks of US arming some nations in the Middle East. In a scenario where Russia and China both start shooting, there is the possibility that Iran might get "aggresive". Maybe US is arming the Middle East so that if this crazy war breaks out, the US and NATO can concentrate on Russia and China, while the Middle East nations take care of Iran.
Like I said, the theory is crazy, but we do live in a crazy world.

The flaw in your theory is that we just might pick one of them and smash it real fast. So who wants to be the first?
China + Russia + NK = 3 nations. Let's say they launch a simultaneous strike against their individual objectives. We pick only one to deal with. That's a 33% chance of getting yourself killed for...what? The loss outweighs the gain.
