Since I've signed up for an economics degree, I figure I should get some practice in, know what it is I'm going to be learning about, and maybe get myself a bit of a clue. Therefore:
Welcome to the WAB Stock Market Challenge. All players will start off with $100,000. Whoever has the most at the end of the competition wins some butter cookies. Here's where we put all the advice everyone has been giving on the Finance threads to good use. May the best member win!
The game starts on September 1st and ends on December 31st. This gives members 2 weeks to sign up, and 2 weeks to study market trends and decide on their opening salvo. No one will be allowed to join after September 1st, so if you want in, please make sure to register before then.

VSE is a pretty cool tool. However, the winner will the individual who is the luckiest. Extremely rare is the individual who actual beats the stock market on a habitual basis.

I have read that using the stock Market is like dating a woman. If this is true, I'll be lucky if I survive this game.
I will win for sure. I win the stock market when no real money is involved. If real money is involved, I am guaranteed to lose money in a big way.

Edited the game to accommodate penny stocks, but if you don't give me a couple good tips I'm changing it back...
