Instead of doing more, how about undo some? As in undo some damage done by the stimulus, or "porkulus" bill as we all know and love?
Instead of spending $900 billion on various "government approved" projects, meaning those that benefit the politically connected, let's spend this $900 billion on tax cuts for the corporations and the wealthy.
Instead of rushing more "regulations" through, let's stand pat and do nothing so we don't spook businesses in their practices. As of now, employers want to wait out the current bad government before they hire people. Or at least they want to wait until the dust settles before they do anything they might regret. Businesses don't like uncertainties. No one does. Obama and his minions are nothing but uncertainty. They will pass laws before we find out what's in them. Obamacare, anyone?
Instead of punishing the banking industry for following bad laws to the letter, how about punish bad laws and bad legislators for coming up with bad laws? Disband Fannie and Freddie. They were created by bad laws, twice, and rescued by bad law. The new financial regulations did not mention a single word on Fannie and Freddie. Those 2 organization were a major cause of the housing bubble and the melt down. But let's not punish them. Let's give them an open credit line to the treasury so we can keep them afloat.
Instead of trying to change the climate, how about live with the climate? The climate will always change. There is no optimal climate. Stop trying to manipulate the planet.
