When you go back to India, my friend, DO NOT take this idiot's words with you. He is only representative of a small and despised minority of people in this country.

I hope you had a good experience of the American People while you were here, and you're welcome back anytime you'd like to come.

We'll keep that dumbass in the basement while you're here, okay?

Americans in general are very nice people but every society has its bad apples. I have read a lot of bad things being said about India from this person. I will not take them to heart because I know what India and Hinduism is all about and it's certainly not only about cows and call centers as this person sees it. I have lived half of my life in the US. I have only experienced racism once here in the US and that to was by an African-American but that's a different issue all together. I love this country as much i love India but one has to learn to ignore people like rambo no matter where I live.

Dead right, Ziel, and welcome to our Board.

Thanks for the good words. I always feel like I'm doing a good job if people from other countries appreciate mine (even if I had nothing to do with them feeling that way).

Thanks. I continue to have a great experience here in USA . Of course, my decision was more than an emotional outburst. I am but a small part of a small wave called "The reverse brain drain".

My intention is not to highlight any greatness/weaknesses but only the emphasize the complications that todays macroeconomics can spring up.

We can go on blaming a lot of things. I understand how hard it must be to loose one's job all of a sudden. If I was to go back and find myself struggling to get a job that I think I deserve then of course I'd be disappointed no end.

The thing being that it is very easy to catch the smaller picture, but hard to see from a larger perspective. The economics today is based on principles that have evolved out of attempts to provide a fair trade. If the desired effects (to avoid disparity, have adquate liquidity ) of our own measures were so easy to relinquish then of course we would still be using the barter system in the first place.

It seems like a subject that teaches me something everyday. How I wish I could understand it all in one shot.

you do realize if even the US and Europe continue to prosper (or not) that they will be eventually competing and dominated by the future China/India/middle east countries in the future,

The US being dominated by the Middle Eastern countries? How on the planet is that going to happen?

I was listening to President Bush's inauguration speech on the 20th. I think racism did figure in his message. From what I can remember, he said 'we cannot continue to carry the bagage of bigotry by being racist ourselves'...or something like that.

Might want to check your words in that lamp under your feet that seem to be throwing you off path here.

    Julie,

    That is not fair.

He has no lamp under his feet. He has a raging fire below his you know what!

He is blind. He doesn't understand how that lamp can warm and burn him there.

    He is seeking.

    Soon he shall find

    To Americans,

In India we know a lot of about the USA.

We know that the US is a place of opportunity, with a whole lot of warm hearted folks, very liberal in thought and not dogmatic, and a very nice place to be in or visit.

At times, when some oddball talks bunk, one gets wild. It is not so much that the US is like that, it is just that CAN THE US TOLERATE SUCH ODDBALLS since this oddball is the not the American we have experienced and know and what is our general ideas to what is the real American?

    Rambo Bambo Booboo,

I am not anti US, anti Bush, anti Bible. I am anti bigots.

As far as any fundamentalist is concerned of any religion, my view is the same. Funadmentalists are a bane on society and a disgrace to humanity.

Could you search your heart? Don't you not conform to the same? Aren't you a fundamentalist in taht you beleive in just the Bible? What is then so bad about Islamic fundamentalists and bin Laden? They too beleive in their Koran as much as you do your Bible. OK, I will grant you that you are incapable of the devilish acts that they do.

This is not a Christian evangelist board. What right have you to proselytise on this Board? Your views have not only embarrassed all Americans on this Board but also all Christians the world over.

Silly missionary humbug like 'Jesus Saves' (without giving the rational) is archetypical of the bible thumpers of the ancient times, hunting for ignorant pygmies in the African bush to convert.

    Imagine this scene.

The pygmies darting around to avoid the starry eyed missionaries and they hitching up their skirts and monk's habit running after the pygmies and stupid that the missionaries are of the lay of the land, they fall into mud but still do not giving up the goal. Up they jump and off they go pygmy hunting.

The catch the pygmy, chuck some water on his head and says, 'You no longer Ngabulemamapapa but now you Jon Thomas'.

Then one day, the missionary catches this 'Jon Thomas' fishing and eating fish on a Friday.

'Hey, Jon Thomas, you can't eat flesh on a Friday'.

So Jon Thomas who did not understand the importance of baptism since it was not explained to him, calmly takes some water from the river, chucks it on the head of the fish and pronounces - 'Fish, you no longer fish, you now yam' ...........and he promptly eats the fish and flashes his pearly white 32!

Your proselytising is on the same line.

    Mouthing words without meaning!

The way you interpret and thump the Bible here is worth a million cuts to anyone who know even a modicum of the Bible.

And the best part is is TOTALLY OUT OF CONTEXT!

    Amen.

    Praise the Lord.

MAY THE GOOD LORD jESUS, SAVE YOU.

    He died for your sins.

It is adequate to be a GOOD HUMAN.

    Labelling is used for merchandise.

A tomato in the fields doesn't carry a label and yet it is as good if not better than in a processed form and in a can! It is fresh and without additives which changes the taste.

Deep meaning in that last statement. But you will not understand.

OK. A plucked tomato is the purest form. A canned tomato has additives and additives changes its true form. The taste changes. The additive is a chenical and that need not be good for the body! (Example: Organic food is better for the health than fertiliser grown and pesticide filled food).

@Ray --- You seem a little bothered, over nothing. Obviously, something has struck a chord in your heart, probably the Holy Spirit is dealing with you because you are constantly ringing the Bible issue about x10 as much as me. Remember, the word of God never comes back void, it has nothing to do with me, it has to do with the Truth.

@affinor --- Here we go again, somebody pounding their chest regarding getting an education. You want to compare degrees or something? W-2 forms? I'm an academic Legend. I don't get your message. Instead of studying nuclear fission or whatever to help your country, I'd consider Civil Engineering.

Lazy...not inovative...2/3rds of doctors in the US are Indian. NASA will not be able to make toy rocket if the huge Indian staff pull out. Give us a break, you don't seem to know anything about your own country, and you want to comment on India.
Take my advice go to a church and pray for some commonsense.

    Confed,
You reminded me of school days, our parton saint was St. Francis of Assisi, and we said this prayer every morning. Oh boy those were the best days of life (sigh).

Why civil engineering and not medicine 'Oh Holy One'? Please enlighten us on the professions we should follow to develope our nation.
Oh I get it. No need to study nuclear fission, we can always buy out nukes from the AQs nuke super store.
FYI, nuclear power is used for other things apart from making nukes, like electricity. So could you please read up and then make comments.

    Cheers!...on the rocks!!
