    Indian companies charge more than $6.50/hour for a testing job. So there are more lamer jobs than testing, in the USA and people are flocking to do it.

    Confed,

    Thanks for helping him.

    Yes, I was a trifle surprised that a person who calls himself a bloodwashed birnb again Christian spouting the words of the Bible and thumping it all voer, could be so unchristianlike. The hypocrisy got my goat.

    And in every thread, instead of entering into a discussion, all that was being given was scriptures and that too out of context.

    Did I ever saying testing wasn't necessary? Of course it's necessary, just like cleaning toilets at Walmart is necessary. Where in the Bible does it say for me to glorify testing? There are tons of technology jobs in the States, if you have the skillset of course. Far as Mexicans, it's a fact that do the fruit picking. That's not racist, a truth. Mexicans also make the best Mexican food, that's how I pick my Mexican restaurant, is that okay to do? What does the Bible say about it?

    I never said it. You did.

    That's right, Brother.

    Some, but not all.

    It makes all the difference.

    Some Anglo Saxcon whites are Presidents of the US, but not all.

    And some whites, blacks, brown. yellow Americans also cut vegetable, pick fruits, clean toilets. But not all! Got that, my good man? I mean the difference?

    In addition to outsourcing phone answerers, testing smucks, we should outsource the military. Hey General, how much would $20 get in military forces from India?

    Trolling isn't a good idea here.

    This may help to center you...
    A Prayer of Francis of Assisi:
    Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace.
    Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
    Where there is injury, pardon.
    Where there is doubt, faith.
    Where there is despair, hope.
    Where there is darkness, light;
    And where there is sadness, joy.

    O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
    To be consoled as to console;
    To be understood, as to understand;
    To be loved, as to love.
    For it is in giving that we receive --
    It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
    And it is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.

    I'm not Catholic, so I could careless about the self-proclaimed father Francis. Trolling? Who's trolling? I just joined, made some posts, went out in did some yardwork, taking my lady out tonight for dinner & movie, church tomorrow. Just because I don't join & agree with everybody doesn't make me a troll. All I've seen from this forum is insults, anti-USA, anti-Bush, anti-Bible & given personal death threats from Ray's racist view of fundamentalist muslims.

    Me either, yet the value of the words do not depend upon the speaker's religion.

    No, posting to insult people into an argument is.

    I see no death threats. Muslim is not a race. From your posts it seems you have a problem with fundamental Muslims too.

    There are two things that I'd like to discuss:

    Firstly,I empathise with those who are disgruntled with the out-sourcing of jobs to India. It is afterall, basic human tendency to resist a force that takes away something from you. But that should not lead people to resort to dogmatism.

    In my own city, Bangalore- one of the finest cities of the country and the epicentre of India's IT and BPO success, we have a similar problem. There is an exodus of people into the city from the north of the country. So that means a fair percentage of jobs, university seats and opportunities are grabbed by these people at the cost of those residing in the city for the better parts of their lives.

    It is a complex problem, and people often get very emotional about it. These happenings cannot be avoided, and must be seen through the prism of globalisation. Being protectionist is not the answer. I'm sure there are pragamtic solutions to these problems, but such solutions cannot be arrived at by being over-emotive and bellicose.

    Secondly, with respect to the racism.The ranks of the bigoted and the intolerant make their presence felt in all countries and in all online forums , but the US is clearly less racist than some of the other countries in Europe.

    you do realize if even the US and Europe continue to prosper (or not) that they will be eventually competing and dominated by the future China/India/middle east countries in the future.

    I sure will wait for the day when the US gets dominated by anyone.

    That will indeed be the day!

    An analysis to substantiated would have helped.

    [QUOTE=jon_j_rambo]Okay guys, let me address some issues:

    Thanx man ....

    You have only made my resolve stronger. Resolve to go back to india. Mind you I never intended to stay in this country, was here only to do my PhD and not becoz I wont find a job. Trust me when I say it, in my department here, no one... no one can do the job better than me.. and its not a toilet cleaning job. I do research in nuclear physics. but never mind, thats not too important. Its not what we're taught but what we learn that matters.
    (BTW : My dept. here in USA struggles to take Phd student from america as they cannot clear the qualifiers. They eventually just take the masters and graduate).

    So if u think India is all about what u think it is then I dont blame u.
    Of course I should back up my claims.
    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/...-SearchStories

    I was in India when the interview was shot and there were more than 3 Head of departments from universities who came to recruit students. We were invited.
    But alas times have changed.

    http://www.csmonitor.com/2002/0725/p25s01-cogn.htm
    http://ed-web3.educ.msu.edu/news/new...canstudent.htm

    These are facts. Kindly read these stories carefully. I have taught a lot of undergraduate courses and I don think its a job thats I want forever.

    About religion, Im proud im from India where ppl have seen so many religions come and go by(albeit, brought about by great men) then consolidate only to become too rigid for the ppl themselves. Though lots of us Indians might be illiterate (depending on what education is defined as) we have learnt to get over barriers imposed by religious figments.

    So I see it for myself. Not much in terms of research future. Still old religious concepts. Yes, money is there but may b not forever. Yeah, ppl will still come here coz someones always got to be in the third world. But dont be mistaken in taking things for granted. God will not come down and feed anyone, we learnt it the hard way. Dont unlearn the things that ppl in ur country have achieved.
