Except that gives us plenty of warning and ample time to build our defenses, the necessary technology base and prepare for a counterstrike.

With what? They can chuck rocks a hell of alot easier we can build missile defences.

what is misssle defence?

Or warp fields that distort the space around a ship so that you are moving faster than the speed of light but no splattered against a bulkhead or not aging.

There are lots of cool theories and one thing we have proved time and time again only our imagination is our limiting factor. Someone comes up with an idea we just have to figure out a power source, like cold fusion.

Sure some of them may be desperation but a lot of them have been done in math and the warp field is one of them

I mentioned my dads English engineer buddy before. He showed me this cool Russian book, that I could not read but the pictures where cool. Anyway, there was a device in the Pyramids that when you ran an electrical current through it made stuff lighter so why can't you do the reverse? He used to tease me a lot but I don't think so much on this one. He only used to tell me tidbits over the years and one day I put them all together and when I did he smiled and said, "now your thinking".

All far fetched of course but we have already "teleported" atoms and made stuff move at light speed.

We have also made 'anti-matter' and all kinds of other Star Trek stuff. If you could make a lot of anti-matter that is one hell of a power source.

Imagine the scenario , we get visited , or not ? now then , IMAGINE there is a planet , zillions of light years away , occupied by the most advanced civilization in the universe , they have eradicated all disease ,pestilence ,famine , and wars, they live in peace and harmony , they have conquered space travel and can go anywhere they wish faster than the speed of light , Einstein wasnt born there do you think they will have ,and worship, the same Gods as we seem to have on Earth ,if they are the Grey,s we hear so much about , why were they not made in Gods image ,or maybe they were ???? just like we were , but some of us came out of Africa and turned white and some turned yellowish with eyes that are a different shape to Europeans ? and some brownish , and some stayed Gods color , Black ? if the historians and anthropologists and (Darwin) have it correct that we all came from Africa and were made in his image (God that is ) ,, Ahh but which God do we mean , our God or :their God : or one of the many Gods that spring up all over the place ?
