Actually, no. The US military has so far been a little over 3000 reserve chutes short. And the shortage is only going to widen, know what I mean?
There is simply no point where you can say, "Well, that's enough stuff protecting my life". The more people can protect themselves from danger, the more they will. At no point should one feel safe while at war and stop working to improve their level of personal safety. And you certainly can't be the one to judge that since you're not out there putting your life on the line. At no point would I want to stop improving my situation and just deal with it. That's contrary to both human nature, and reason.
