These links give you clue why China cancelled the remaining SU-27 orders. China continued to assemble J11(Su-27) and now update to J11B.

No matter what, the authors of the article I posted did a good job to summarize the development of China's military programmes in recent 1o years. And all the comments you bashed after that were not correct.

Something called maintenance. For every 4 birds that leaves the factory, 5 are going back in. The Russian factory keep the Chinese numbers ahead of the rotation game. Without them, it will be 5 years before this maintenance cycle is complete and the start of a new one. Thus, it will be 3 years before enough birds are out of maintenance for the numbers to start rising.

It's people like you who do the most damage to the PLA's reputation. You try to build them to supermen by referencing articles that just plain garbage to begin with. Who told you that Shenyang is only doing the maintenance? We are talking about making new planes here. How could you know that numbers of SU-27 is frozen?

No matter how you denounce the article, your guess about JL2 and Su-27 can only be wrong.

Can you tell me where PLA is pushing for propaganda sakes by the development programmes? PLA is very low profile in the tech and programmes. Even today, you cannot find any Chinese official articles about 168, 169, 170, 171, Yuan, JL2 093, 094 programs. All of those photos were shot by military fans.

I don't say PLA is superman. You said it.

U've misread and misunderstood the statement. He said
" the new ones being produced will just replace the old ones going in the factory for maintenance. Numbers cannot increase unless the maintenance cycle com[pletes(i.e. the first bird which went inside for maintenance comes out.).

This could be true. But frankly, the most news about Chinese recent development came from Chinese military websites. From J10 (even one guy was arrested), AwACS (both types), 168, 169, 170, 171, 525, 526, 115, 2208 and Yuan. Many of the photos cited by western medias (including the article I posted) were taken by military fans. Some Chinese researchers or enterprise leaks the information in their resumes or self-instructions too. For example 093/094 and now even AC.

He has a forum, I have a big Chinese website ( I don't want to post the name here), including news and forums and I am making money from it. Currently I rent two severs and have 1800G bandwith each month. Smaller than his? No kidding.

There was this other guy who cilamed that China has miles and miles of underground tunnels and silos, while its good for self ego boosting, its very hard to factually prove it.

Again, for one last time, lets see if you can understand it.

Type 094 hasnt been launched yet (it means its not yet operational, its not sea worthy). JL 2 is supposedly developed for Type 094. If 094 is not ready, JL 2 will not be ready, it'll take more time, coz the boat is the launch platform. So it "may" be stopped, to match the speed with Type 094 development.

Ofcourse if the Tank is too heavy for any of your present transportation system to handle, then you defn need to. If it does not happen in china, it'll wait in the factory. Its as simple as that.
