Rank of defence industry ability

I had seen many compares of military ability between defferent countries. But most of the weaponry those countries had were bought abroad. So the sellers of those weaponry can affect the result in the war scenario. I start this thread to compare the defence industry ability of world's main powers.
Note: the independence of the defence industry should be the main consideration.

The main area of defence industry is aerospace, nuclear, aviation, shipbuilding, electronics industry.

A pissing contest of a different kind.

Just to humor you, I would put Germany and Japan above China.

Russia, Germany, France, UK, and Japan are all roughly even, in my uneducated opinion, of course.

And you forgot about Canada, Spain, and Sweden, just to mention a few. They can probably replace Israel, India, and China.

Sorry, I might be wrong. I just want to bring up this question, so we can discuss this. If you think my rank is ballshit, just ignore it. And bring up your list.

Actually I'm pretty sure he thinks that this new pissing contest of yours is "ballshit".

We don't really care for Versus threads here.

In fact, we strongly discourage them.
