I really hate to say this by Indira Ghandi's words meant crap all in the scheme of things. Hell, we sided with Pol Pot for crying out loud ... all because we cannot stand Moscow.

The very fact that you guys were fighting for the right cause meant very little to the West. The fact that you were on Moscow's side meant a lot more.

Well before the war any signs of the long lost love would have taken care of the shortage of vodka in Delhi. No one likes to be alone.

A worthless war, could have been stopped in the bud, i guess the intentions were to see how it went and then decide.

That with all your good intensions, you wanted to stop us from dismembering West Pakistan meant little to us, that you sent the Enterprise sailing into the Bay meant a lot more. Col Sir, It was post 1971 and the US tilt towards Pakistan that prompted us to get cosier with the Soviets. Prior to that we were really quite Non Aligned.

Adux,

It is a pleasure to hear that my analysis was considered to be so informative. I look forward to your commentary.
