They have openly declared it for the last 20 years. You obviously did miss something.

Now they are building nukes, what should we do about that?

Let them have em?

After they captured the hostages and the US Rescue mission failed?

So was North Korea, it's still on the map.

Pre-emptive strike against Iran?
Could you even imagine what revelation this will cause and how it will destabilize the Middle East?
How do you know that they are building nuclear weapons? Using the same intelligence that pointed the stick at Saddam?
Even if they are building nuclear weapons, what capability will they have to attack the US?
But hell, how do you even know that their nuclear weapons are of an offensive purpose?
Do you even know how scared the average Iranian is of America?
I saw a programme on BBC, where almost every single Iranian asked claimed that America wanted to attack Iran and destroy their values. If they are that scared, then the alleged weapons are probably for self defence, since the US would be more reluctant to go to war with a country which they know FOR SURE has nuclear weapons (North Korea comes to mind).
Last but not least, the Iranian government seems stable, so what say does America have in Iranian domestic affairs?

I don't care how much of a shithole Iran is, they can live by their own values, I simply don't give a rats ass if their women are repressed, they chose to be repressed when they let the 1979 revolution happen.
If they want change the Iranians will launch another revolution.
People will be herded like sheep by their leaders only if they let themselves be.

Do you consider taking 52 hostages an act of war or not?

There is nothing pre-emptive about it! Iranian supported terrorist has killed almost 1000 Americans and hundereds of Israelis!

I'd bet a pretty penny that Bush bull shited us to secure the oil reserves.

Load a nuke in a private airplane, fly it over a suburb near a major city and detonate it.

Get a bunch of terrorist to work for shipping company and then use these people to sneak a nuke on. Then when it gets near a habour detonate the nuke.

Sneak the nuke into Mexico and drive it up into a major city in Texas and detonate the nuke.
PICK YOUR CHOICE!

A Theocratic Dictatorship has no right to self-defense. What you think they want to use them for is irrelivent. There is ample evidence of Iran's agression against the United States.

Even if these values lead to the death of thousands of westerners simply for being a westerner?

Yes, and there was a retaliation from the US, which failed -> thereby opening a possibility for negotiations, which succeeded.

Present your evidence to the table.
They have been known to support terrorist organizations, but is this enough of a reason to start another war?

And if they do, they know that the response of the US will be of the same nature, only bigger. That would be like a suicide nuclear bombing.
Who in their right mind would attack America with nuclear weapons?

How is Iran a theocratic dictatorship?
They are an Islamic Republic, and follow Shariah law and have elections, as far as I know.
I really couldn't be assed to give a **** about the failings of their democracy, and I am sure there is hell of a lot, but the fact still remains, that the Iranians are being governed how they want to be governed.

They released 52 hostages then proceded to kill hundereds of Americans.

Death Worshipers, people who's value of morality is death and sacrifice. In other words Militant Islamist.

Iran (and Saudia Arabia) are the birth places of militant islam, a philosophy which worships death and is hell bent on the destruction of the west.

I agree Praxus, time to take out their reactor. Also was Egypt Air Flt 990 offically declared the result of terrorism? You also might want to look into Iran and TWA Flt 800 to that list as Iran could have been involved in the shootdown, although I belive it was Al Qaeda (dont say the plane wasent shot down, over 500 people saw a missile streaking towards the plane). I remember the night TWA 800 blew up, for some odd reason I looked out the window at the same time the plane blew up and I saw the bright flash of light to the west. Several family friends have said they saw a missle, along with hundreds of other people. I seem to have a premotion about terrorist attacks, I felt it the night TWA 800 blew up, and again before 9/11.

Was the event in the Delta Force movie with Chuck Norris loosely based on this?

You're forgetting most obvious and easiest approach. The Israelis! The Israelis have trained for this mission hundreds of times already, can go at the drop of a hat, and will probably get the mission done too. All you need to do is support them this time instead of shunning and condemning them like Osirak.

Exactly, SACRIFICE, how would nuking America be deemed as a sacrifice?
To die in battle is an honourable way to die for a Moujahedin, not be nuked in a retaliatory strike.

I don't know about Iran, but Saudi Arabia is surely the birth place of militant Islam.
However, last I heard, Saudi Arabia was an ally of the United States, so as long as Saudi oil keeps American cars moving the fact that it is the birthplace of militant Islam is irrelevant to the Bush Administration. Shows how much they really care about the "War against Terrorism" and the security of Americans like you.
If it were me, the first thing I would do after attacks such as the 9/11, would be to nuke Saudi Arabia.

PS: Islam is spelled with a capital "I".

Attacking Iran would be a waste of resources. If you want to get rid of the Mullahs, don't worry, their time will be up pretty soon.

But they will have killed hundereds of thousands if not millions of Americans. They will in their eyes be mytrs. They will be sacrificing themselves to kill these Americans.

What do you mean they would not view it as Sacrifice?

Elections rigged by the state. The people have no power over their Government.

You are actually going to claim that Hezbullah has no support from Iran. To the contrary Iran supports them and numerous other terrorist states and groups. Hence the shipment of 50 tons of weapons to the Palestinians.

This still doesn't fix the fact that the US refuses to defend it's self.
