Bulgar,
Guys like Gio, Ironduke and Horrido may not post as much as the rest of us, but they do read the threads and keep an eye on things.

And as you've no doubt read in that lulldapull thread, they are incredibly tolerant.

I wish one of the moderators would see this thread. I have questions.
Can a banned person ever appeal the decision?
Do the moderators ever lift a ban in order to give a person a second round?

I'm also compartively lucky that I wasn't banned in my earliest posts on the Supreme Dictator thread.

They will, in time. Patience my son. Partake of the Sacred Cheetos and come into harmony with the Almighty Cheetah while you await their presence.

I suspect it's possible though unlikely, given their level of tolerance to begin with.

Not all bans are created equally. Unless someone flagrantly violates the rules, they are usually given a free, all-expenses paid vacation for a few days. When they return, they are usually watched fairly carefully.

In the case of, oh let's say one of Raptor1992's creations, it's more than likely an instant, no-hassle permanent vacation.

*shrug* You were new and putting forth some really...out there opinions (IMHO) but I don't recall you being vulgar, obscene, insulting etc.

I'm fine if they don't post that much. I mean, those guys are senior to me. My comments on their infrequent posting were not any kind of prompt: "Hey guys, post more."

Since they don't post often, I thought that it was all the more important that lulldapull attracted their attention. I liked Gio's farewell to lulldapull:

"Yeah, okay, good bye forever."

I am glad you were not - you turned out to be okay.

Heh heh...didnt mean to suggest that you were. I knew you were commenting on their presence to that particular thread.

I do seem to recall a certain someone getting banned before they'd even posted anything....

Lulldapull's banning also raises another issue. At the time of his banning, he had 992 posts. I have seen Senior Members with less posts than that. This means that the elevation to Senior Membership is not decided on number alone (I know that there is a thread dedicated to this issue).

Lulldapull could have theoretically quieted down and been elevated to a Senior Member. It was a an error on his part to be so rash.

I don't know why this WAB history interests me so much.

He was, the title senior member was simply replaced by BANNED.

At the end of the day, being a Senior Member is meaningless if you've proved yourself to be a jackass, oh say about a hundred times over.

Read that Lebanon thread over again, especially after he was punted for the final time. He could no more quiet down than you or I can jump off a building and fly like a bird. And again, being a Senior Member simply means you've been around for awhile...or posted a boatload times fairly rapidly.

I know, It's like we're our own little country...or something.

EDIT And by the way, your Mods are here to save the day

Yes, actually. Such a body does exist. It is a little know consortium of posters, myself included, that publish legal briefs on the material of World Affairs Board. We also investigate issues of constitutionality and interpret the laws of the Moderators.

Unfortunately, our activity is secret. Also, all meetings are held in German.

Oh you mean the guy that actually banned you. Yeah, that was rather unfortunate.

Uh huh....that's actually quite funny...in a sinister sort of way...
