I have all of the necessary IP addresses to prevent them all from viewing this forum in a notepad file. All I have to do is Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V in the appropriate spot, it would only take 5 seconds.

We were swamped by a group of Russians who did nothing but flame, post in Russian, and overall spam the board.

Uggh.... most of their posts were nuked....

They came over for the sole purpose of flaming and trolling. That was even their declared intention. Basically one of them stated "we're going to launch an invasion to wreak havoc on your forum", then about 10 of them showed up.

I must admit, they did provoke a few laughs. A few of them were actually knowledgable about military stuff, others were just trolls.

So far, only one is banned. About 5 others were banned, but later unbanned on the basis they wouldn't troll, and we haven't seen them back since.

I think they were more than eager to be here, perhaps not for the purpose of being members of this community.

I believe they lost their eagerness when we showed them how fast we would clamp down.

ok ill tell you now...
it was because one guy got pissed off and made a topic on the russian ofp forum, saying how ignorant you guys are and how wrong your are in the "t80u vs. m1" thread.
so then a lot of members got pissed off in that forum and came here to prove you wrong, there was no intent of starting a flame war until that guy got everyone on that forum against you guys.

Well how does one prove it's better?

It's like arguing T-34 vs. Tiger, one can argue the T-34 is better tank because there's more of them and better tactics are used, others will argue the Tiger. Not a perfect analogy but I think you'll get my point.

It's also obvious that those arguing about whether the T-80 or M1 Abrams is a better tank will be blinded by a point by nationalism, one side being Americans arguing an American tank is better, the others being Russians arguing that a Russian tank is better.

Any attempts to prove which one is better will be discarded by the other side because of this, so it's best not to try and prove anything.

One person can say this tank is better and the other can say that tank is better, because of these reasons, etc., but it is impossible for one side or the other to prove that one is better.

In addition, I know there is alot of information about the Abrams that is classified, no doubt the same with the latest T-80's in Russian and Ukranian service.

Maybe you could clarify something for me a bit. Who was the Russian member who came and turned the other Russians against people here?
