I went to the local store to purchase some beer for a party and saw this beer (http://www.anchorbrewing.com/beers/libertyale.htm) in the cooler. Since I had not ever seen it before, much less try it, I purchased a six for $12.
This was not some of the better beer that I have ever had, it was overly bitter. Now, don't get me wrong, I like a bitter ale, but this one was a bit much.
As point of reference, I like red and dark beer with my favorite common brews being Abita Amber, Killians, Yeungling Black and Tan and the River Boat Red that is brewed at the local brewery/pub here in town.
Has anyone else tried this one and what is your opinion?
