The lack of a loader causes crew fatigure, amunition storage and transfer under fire, and relaibility issues. The autloader ammuntion supply is also pathetic at just 16=1 with 23 in hull storage. 55 tons also seems to indicate that armored protection will be at Leclerc not Abrams/Chally/Leo levels. It is also USD 5million per tank.
However even with those negatives it is obviously a world class MBT with an active protection system beign reported (I am guessing the box atop the gun mantle is the all way laser detector and RWR) and an active/adaptive suspencion. mm band ainti-air rader for main gun engagement of helos, and mixed composite and ERA armor.
The main gunthe new L/55 German standard. This means it will pack as much punch as the newer 120mm's. The US gets around this via the use of DU rounds, the RoK does not have the M829A3 so went with the higher caliber.
It also has computerized IVIS and battle management systems
Asia definately has a new leade rin tank prodcution and it thourghly outclasses the ZTZ-99 and has an edge on the Type 90
I saw a newspaper report that had the price at USD8.8mil. Sorry no link though.
only three have been made to date so it could be anywhere from 4.9 to 9 million USD.
Would like to find some more pictures, angles etc those optics on the turret top seem very high profile to me

probalby a drivers FLIR or passive IR driving system.
Thanks zraver..I see an optic on the drivers hatch prob just for daytime closed position..lot of glass on the turret one hit by an RPG could cause havoc
