Cheers!...on the rocks!!
Lemontree, Sir...seems to me that Mr.Metalbeast is far more informed about InA's RTs than all here, combined. I am very interested to know the said "Two Catagories". However..here's some....

And on the sixth day, God created the Field Artillery...
That's true Bhim T6 hasn't entered service. But again as I said the task is taken care of with some workarounds. Bofors isn't mentioned true again. I've already maintained that rest are classified...though Bofors is well known and have served well in the past...specially during Kargil wars.
And on the sixth day, God created the Field Artillery...
T6 is one of the most powerful gun in the world. I would like to know how it has fared in IA, if those details are not classified. Bhim being a DRDO product, wonder how it has gone down with IA.
It is a big irony that companies which supplies the best equipment to Indian Forces like Bofors,AMR,T6,HDW Subs did it paying bribes to the babus & ministers!
Really?Thats great.T6 is a real good gun.And IA really needs some self propelled artillery.
By work around do you mean some Indian co is manufacturing Denel guns under tech transfer and an Indian name?![]()
BTW..apart from that I think that other old SPA types have been retired already?
All that I can tell you is that at the Unit level there's a grapevine wherein the guys talk of the concept of "Jugar Technology".Jokes apart...you are correct that certain SPAs though they exist on paper have been phased out or atleast are not into active service.
And on the sixth day, God created the Field Artillery...
Can someone post a familiar photo i remember in LIfe Magazine where they showed a PLA trooper armed with a SKS sternly facing across each other an Indian trooper with a FAL? this was in the late 1960s. A photo ops .
