crazy! looks like an insect. although it seems nice because it doesn't cause environmental damage, I'm not sure its practical for harvesters.

Very reliable animals, and they never miss a step will walking in the dark. They are trained to remain quite when close to enemy positions.
Captain, I've been around pack animals all my life. Even own a couple of Belgian horses. Thing is that they all have their own personalities. Some mules are easily spooked while others are just damned lazy.

I can tell you one thing about horses, donkeys, mules. Once they made their minds, there's nothing you can do to change it.

    Sir,
Thats very true, same with wives.
There is a story about a mule of the Indian army near the LOC with Pakistan, that got spooked about some thing and ran across to the other side. His handler had to face a court of inquiry and all the flak that followed. But a month later that same mule came running back, carrying a Pakistani 106mm RCL on his back.
The mule got decorated with a Vir Chakra (3rd highest gallentry award) for capturing an enemy gun.

    Cheers!...on the rocks!!

That is incredibly awesome! Best story I've heard in some time.
