i wish i could make a movie on the subject.i have heard stories to chill my soul.imagine the journey from the kham to Assam ,india.it was brutal.old and injured were left behind to die.the fickin commies destroyed my mothers family.my mom had five brothers and only two survived to reach india.

my paternal grandad was more succesfull in saving his family and killing chinese.lol......he killed so many that he became a stauch buddhist afterwards.lol.

My Great Grandpa fought rebellions in the 19th century. He fought for whoever was King at Orasco Podzamok also known as Orava castile in Slovakia. Not to sure abut his but he did help build the steps leading to the castile i know that.

My Grandpa, Uncle martin, and great Uncle Paul were all in WW2. My grandpa fought in the Phillipines and at Monte Cassino, Martin Fought in Italy near swiss border, my great Uncle Paul foguht on D-Day at Utah Beach and in North Africa.

Uncle Al Pilarcik (baseball player) fought in Korean war i think.

A cousin of mine was in vietnam

And my cousin Shawn is in Afganistan he flies a Black Hawk.
