Military equipment that did not or has not seen combat
A couple of examples I can think of- correct me if I'm wrong:
The M-4 "Bison".
The Seawolf class submarines.

Hyrogen bomb, ICBM (unless you count Iraq's Scud attacks during Desert Storm)

Oooh that's a good one. Was it superceded by sub machine guns that became more reliable?

No, the war ran out before the Army could get past the road blocks of an ignorant Congress to mass produce it.
According to Hatcher's Notebook, the development of the device was kept very top secret. Requests for funding described it as a .30 caliber pistol. Congress balked when they said the .45 caliber pistol was better.
The parts did look like they would be some of a pistol assembly. And the cartridge it fired was never mass produced -- I think. Some have said it was resurrected to become the .30 caliber Carbine cartridge, but I don't know for sure.
Wouldn't be surprised though. Somebody, somewhere had the dies and it would have been a good round to build Williams' short stroke semi-auto carbine action around. After all, basically the device was to turn an 03 Springfield into a carbine-like sub-machinegun.

True, but the joke such that it was was aimed at their post 2002 WMDs. But as they say, never explain a joke.

I would like to continue this thread. It's interesting. So for my next nomination of a piece of military equipment that was never used (but the suspension copied by the USSR) is the Christie Tank:

It was mass produced with a Russian turret, as the BT-2 and it saw action during the Winter War in Finland.

Does this include prototypes, like the TSR-2 and Avro Arrow?
