Maybe your question (and mine) should have been put in the Naval Quiz thread. That seems to be running a little dry lately.
But it is an interesting question and I think it was supposed to be some sort of protected cruiser.

What was the name of Sacagawea's husband?
I know this is far too simple, I just want to keep this thread going. It prompts various "emotions" in me such as "Now that's educational", "Who cares?", "Now THAT's funny", "What the heck is he talking about?", "That answer was right on the tip of my tongue", "With that info and two dollars I can buy a beer at the VFW hall" and finally "AHA!
