Easy one.

What's the difference between a war story and a fairy tale?
A war story starts,"Ya'll ain't gonna believe this", and a fairy tale starts "once upon a time".

These three regiments, each from a different country share the same motto and patch. Who are they, what is the motto?

When you say regiment, you mean regiment, correct? Not corps? So this should exclude the Royal Artiilery and Royal Engineers, since they are, actually not regiments.

Just wanted to check that we are more than likely l;ooking for infantry, armor or cavalry.

Yes tactical regiments, but at least 1 of them is also a organizational corps like the Ordnance Corps in its nations defense establishment.

Don't know about that but I think the Australian Special Air Service Regiment,French 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment, and the regiments of British SAS all use the downward pointing flaming dagger and the motto "Who Dares Wins".....perhaps you should give the answer now as it has been a long time

You were spot on, although I was not aware of the French unit. The SAS,ASAS,NZSAS all use the same patch and motto, and are all allied. BTW its not a dagger, but Excaliber.

My mistake,I don't know if they use the patch, probably not,but they use their own translation of the motto i.e. "Qui Ose Gagne";as do apparently, the Cypriots,Greeks and Israelis.

Name these two rulers :
After their father was killed in battle, these brothers were taken prisoner and converted to Islam, they rose to the position of governers/generals under this king's rule.Later on,while the king was busy quelling rebellion elsewhere, they managed to escape, embraced back their old religion under the influence of their spirtual master and established a successful empire by denying any subordination to the king who they were earlier serving.......name the rulers and name the empire.
