What If?…Pivotal Events and Battles in History

What If?…Pivotal Events and Battles in History

There have been times in history when we can put our finger on a specific event/battle and say; this altered the flow of history in one direction or another.
Sometimes it is a battle; say like Actium, Chalors, Poitiers/Tours, Hastings or Kursk. At sea maybe The Amada or Midway, but it could also be the death of a key commander like Alexander the Great or Gustavous Adolphus, or some apparently insignificant event.
There have been some entertaining novels written by writers like Piper, Stirling and Turtledove come out of events like these.
I thought it might be interesting have your take on what might be a pivotal event.

What if Hitler never killed himself and was instead captured alive?
