93 confirmed kills, probably over 200 unconfirmed.
Finnish sniper Simo Hayha is the highest scoring sniper of all time, with anywhere from 500-600 kills made during the Russo-Finnish War.

But 'only' the 93 confirmeds. Quite frankly, it boggles the mind. That's a lot of people to see staring back at you in your dreams. |

Chuck Mawhinney is credited with 216 probables in addition to his 103 confirmed.
Here's a link with a little information about Eric England. He, like Adelbert Waldron, deserves to be better known. http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/lds1952/index.html If you scroll down and look at the photo on the right side of the page you see England (facing camera) getting an award. The two men to the left (England's right) are former Georgia Governor Zell Miller and Jim Land, Hathcock's commander in Vietnam. The photo at the bottom left of the page is another one of Governor Miller and England.

Anyway, sniping is actually mind-numbingly boring the overwhelming majority of the time. |
