    N b c

I have for sometime now 30+ years argued the title NBC stands for NUCLEAR/ BACTERIOLOGICAL/ CHEMICAL , not BIOLOGICAL , as the only thing i know biological is washing powder , I learnt this on my gunnery inst course , but peeps still say biological , there is still a place infected in the uk with anthrax , thats bacteria , not washin powder

Sorry, but as someone who served in a NBC unit: It stands for biological. Biological weapons do not need to be bacteriological - a lot consist of virii or endospores (e.g. Anthrax). Biological toxins (e.g. Ricin) are considered under both B and C btw.

I always understood it as biological. That's what we learned in NBC class during basic training.

I basicly only worried about the C part of those three. Biological is quite hard to disperse and nuclear wasn't really gonna happen any time soon.
But then you read about the effects of blister agents, nerve gas and asphyxiants... suddenly that gasmask looks like a very good friend.
The one you see is a decoy.
