I remember 15 years ago, that term was routinely mentioned on T.V..
It was used as a shortened word for "homosexual" the same way "hetro" was used as a shortened term for "heterosexual".
Now people tell me it's an offensive term.
I wouldn't mind political correctness if it didn't change all the time to absurd levels.
I wouldn't be surprised if the term "gay" or "homosexual" becomes 'offensive' in the near future.
I'd suggest "Homer," as in homersexual...
Lots of famous people named Homer. Homer Simpson, Homer, and some other guy named Homer something.
