    Hi All,

Aussiegunner here, joining the exodus from SP. AlbanyRifles, crikey, thats a handle I haven't heard for a while! I still remember a little debate we had about the Oliver Hazard Perry Class FFG about 5 or 6 years ago on SP ... it got a bit heated ;-). Anyway, its nice to see you and others.

Good to see you in the virtual neighborhood, Aussie Gunner. Gun Grape is a former U.S. Marine artillery gunnery sergeant and DCL is an Indian army artillery major.

When you get a chance, you might wish them salutations and greetings from one cannoneer to another. Naturally, they should take precedence over all other branches and ilks. We are, however, unusually endowed with tankies from 1 RTR.

Beware. They are, on the whole, foolish and slovenly louts).

    Welcome to the WAB...belatedly.

Better late than never though. Enjoy!

Sorry about that AR, I felt it was a useful way to orient the unacquainted. You should have seen the ones I left out.

Can't give you the time back, but I do owe you a beer (or equivalent libation). Perhaps after one of your legendary 'staff rides'.

G'Day AG. Nice to see you got your handle sorted out. I think you'll enjoy it around here. Like AR says, there be smart folk.

Of course, the addition of yet one more Aussie brings us one step closer to our own Antipodean board. Muahahahaha!!!

Hi S-2 and BF, nice to talk to you both. S-2, I'll definately be sure to have a chat and a listen to those gunners, they sound a heck of a lot more qualified than I. Arty Engineer is around here nowdays as well so I'm sure he'll enjoy that, if he hasn't already.

AR, I will definatley go over to the navel threads and do just that!

The human mind cannot grasp the causes of phenomena in the aggregate. But the need to find these causes is inherent in man’s soul. And the human intellect, without investigating the multiplicity and complexity of the conditions of phenomena, any one of which taken separately may seem to be the cause, snatches at the first, the most intelligible approximation to a cause, and says: “This is the cause!"
