As I said earlier, the main reason I considered them as a possible alternative to AQ was logistics - like AQ they could muster the required numbers in America & support them. As I mentioned, the lack of any history of suicide bombing & likelihood of heavy penetration by the FBI of any group large enough to co-ordinate something like this mitigated heavily against it.

True, although it must be said that the Oklahoma City bombing was targeted against a federal government building. A significant proportion of white supremacists and their ilk would scruple to attack targets not directly associated with government, primarily federal government. I would say a majority, although this is just a guess.
