Wow, maybe you will be able to see yourself in the footage!

It must've been quite a service for a 5-star officer.

Was there a gun salute, or is that only reserved for the head of state and government?

Were you doing a rifle march?

It was a momentous and honorable affair to have attended, nebula , i have seen the footage once on tv , when we got back to barracks , it was members of B;Sqd and A Sqd 1RTR who were on the parade along with other regiments (i cant remember which ones , guards etc ) B,sqd were the last in line of march , i was 3rd from the end right hand file as its looked at , we were trailing SMG (which was our personel weapon ) and slow marching , i dont remember any gun salute ? memories not what it was which is why i wanted to see the footage again :(

What a small world -- I was on that parade/march too, in A Sqn 1RTR

The other unit was from the Parachute Regiment, but I don't know which battalion

There were no Guards on the march so far as I remember. There might have been some at the funeral service proper, but that was much less public, and we didn't see it

    Nice to "see" you, btw
