South African Army question

Did the South African Army have any permanent or provisional horse mounted infantry units similar to the Rhodesian Army's Grey's Scouts during the South African Border War in Angola and South-west Africa/Namibia?

Thanks Troung, I looked all over the web and I couldent find anything.

Could you recommend some books about the border war? I would prefer something along the lines of Andy McNab's Immediate Action or SOG by John Plaster where an individual SADF soldier tells his story.
