Oh but they will! They really, really will!!
Anyway, I thought American beer has the same specific gravity as slightly tainted water? Mind you, as a teetotaler nothing beats a decent cup of tea.

Oh please, anybody who drinks Jameson by the bottle (*** gag reflex ***) ... well maybe they can tell the difference but I can sure tell you that they don't care.

You got that right! As long as it is alcoholic (and the more alcoholic the better) they won't complain too bitterly.

I put some Yank beer in an all-in-lob I was cooking one time, just to add a bit of flavour you understand , I put that much in trying to add the "desired effect" I had to add more meat to thicken it up again. Used the rest of the 6 x pack as screen wash for the drivers sight instead of the real thing.

    Drank the screen wash instead.

    Gentlemen,

I'm deeply honoured to be invited to such a prestigious event. However, situation is ... how can I leave my wife alone with my credit card for 4 days in a foreign country with the Open sign hanging on every shoe store in the city?

Easy - just leave her at home without your credit card...keep it simple!

Thank you Glyn; Costa del Azahar, Spain, at my sister's house overlooking the third tee on a golf course but back to reality now, unfortunately!
