Your argumentation is flawed, and clearly Russians -being a "former eastern bloc style country- can spot any enemy surface task force with ease.
Hehehahahahahahahahaha ... tell me. What is the lag time? And don't say real time. Changing orbits can't be done on the fly.
And as bad as BACKFIREs and BADGERs are, they are decades ahead of anything subs can push forth. Over-the-horizon mean anything to you?
And I wouldn't put too much about the most advance thing. AIP is a wonderful system but it still doesn't come close to the quiet and endurance of nuclear propulsion.

I strongly suggest that you look at the old threads. We have gone over this many times. And, asking someone to check out a naval website that you cannot even remember is not a good way to make a good impression of your knowledge.
You are getting on the short road to being banned like so many others. Just step back and see what we are trying to say.
I thought this was a discussion forum......thats what we are supposed to do: discuss. Everyone has different opinions and first-hand knowledge. .....and if one can't voice them, its kinda sad...but typical. Can you tell me whether those subs can actively find the aircraft carriers on their own or in a network during wartime conditions? That's what OOE is getting at.
Read the article...also, the top video on that same page is from that military channel show....it's an interesting insight into the inside of the system, that not even i have ever seen....just watched it. It is worth it.
I could answer your question conditionally with a yes though. To be able to effectively combat German ground forces "barricaded" in Germany, the carriers would have to either enter the north sea through the english channel...or the polar caps (only 2 VERY narrow passage ways that can be easily monitored with onboard sensors). Same thing goes for the mouth of the med....very narrow, and definately easy to monitor.
Ok, back up a moment here. Are you not now making it irreverent the "superior" technology? You're basically lying in wait here which again has been shown that even dinosaurs such as the SOONG can accomplish.
2ndly, what makes you so sure that you can block the carriers? The screens would be pinging you to kingdom come.
3rd, I suggest you look up REFORGER.
Actually, don't, I don't know if we can still do REFORGER anymore but still, it would give you an idea of what we were thinking about when we had to punch through the Soviet screens. Don't think your AIP is anymore superior to their nuclear propulsion.

Actually...i wasn't "just" referring to the AIP...also the Á-magnetic materials that make detection by pinging virtually impossible....says so in the report and the video. And AIP...as described is definately a technological step forward from Nuclear propulsion...
Or does the reactor on the Ohio produce drinking water???
